Application Architect

VTECH Solutions is looking for an Application Architect who has a mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. This role requires both broad and deep technology and industry knowledge, and the ability to architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology and business decision maker discussions is a must.

The Application Architect must apply advanced analysis skills and experience to provide detailed reliable solutions and estimates for service implementations. To be credible, he or she must have current and deep experience across the Microsoft Application Platform, including the Development Platform and Tools used across Web, Mobile & Cloud.

Expert level knowledge required for assisting customers in architecting, planning, testing and deploying solutions including the following:

• Proven hand-on experience with .NET Framework (ASP.NET, Windows Phone & Windows Azure).
• Proven hand-on experience with Products including SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, Server Operating Systems & Middleware etc.
• An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks.

• Exceptional demonstrated consulting skills

• Large enterprise development & deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments

The Application Architect will be required to assist or provide technical quality oversight at various points throughout a project lifecycle. To be successful, he or she must have proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both expectation and crisis management. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 6 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
