Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Islamabad
Type: Full-time (Permanent)
Timings: 2:00 Pm to 10:00 Pm (Night Shift)
Working Days: Mon to Fri (Sat & Sun off)
Job Overview:
The International Conference Delegate Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through their own individual sales performance and combined team sales of delegate passes for international conferences. This role involves identifying potential attendees, developing and implementing sales strategies, and maintaining relationships with clients while managing, motivating, and guiding other team members. The individual should possess excellent management and communication skills, a strong understanding of the conference industry, and the ability to meet individual and overall sales team targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify potential conference attendee through market research, industry publications, and networking.
Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach strategies.
Sales Strategy Development:
Equitably distribute sales prospect lists among team members.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize delegate pass sales.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Provide exceptional customer service to address client inquiries and concerns.
Product Knowledge:
Stay informed about conference topics, speakers, and key highlights to effectively communicate value propositions to potential delegates.
Understand the competitive landscape and position the conference as a leading event in the industry.
Sales Presentations:
Use the event website to conduct presentations to potential delegates, showcasing the benefits and value of attending the conference.
Customize presentations based on the needs and interests of different client segments.
Negotiation and Closing:
Negotiate terms and pricing with potential delegates to achieve sales targets.
Close sales and ensure all necessary documentation are completed accurately and promptly.
Assist team members in closing deals/delegate bookings.
Sales Reporting:
Provide regular sales reports to the director, detailing progress against targets, key metrics, and areas for improvement.
Monitor call rates and progress of each team member and advise the directors of the monthly due commissions to each team member.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
Collaborate with marketing, event planning, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience for conference attendees.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of Proven experience in conference delegate sales or a similar sales role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with Excel and sales tracking tools.
