Backpack Designer/production Specialist

The Role
We’re looking for someone to take the lead on designing and some prototyping of some new backpack designs
You’ll be:
Designing backpacks with a clear focus on function, durability, and clean design
Producing technical drawings, specs, and construction details for manufacture
Working with performance fabrics, foams, webbing, hardware, and trims
Managing sampling and prototyping with suppliers and factories
Refining construction methods so products are strong, practical, and efficient to make
Keeping build specs and revisions clear and up to date
 
What We’re Looking For
Experience designing bags or other sewn products
A solid understanding of backpack construction and how things are actually stitched together (or a willingness to learn)
Experience working with nylon fabrics, laminates, canvas, and structural components (or a willingness to learn)
Ability to create clear, practical production drawings and specifications (or a willingness to learn)
Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for outcomes
I’m not looking for qualifications at all. I also don’t care about your age or gender. I’m looking for the right candidate who can learn independently and quickly with a passion for the apparel/fashion business.
 
Location
Remote. Some travel to markets may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
Salary
70,000 to 100,000 PKR
