Punjab Rural Support Programme is working for poverty alleviation through social mobilization in the province of Punjab in rural areas. JOBS DESCRIPTION ARE GIVEN AS UNDER: As Social Organizer, you will be responsible for performing the following functions/duties/assignments:
1. Making contact with and organizing local communities in most appropriate forms of organization (in the given situational context).
2. Training local leaders and activists in the basics of organizing communities and introducing a programme of savings, capital formation, and skill development.
3. Training concerned local persons in maintaining records, organizing savings, and developing plans (prior to actual training) for the utilization of skill training at the community level.
4. Exchanging ideas and experiences with management and field staff as to inculcate the spirit of debate and discussion within PRSP.
5. Studying existing organizational structures in your region, and identifying area of immediate concern and high priority around which community groups can be organized.
6. Managing for PRSP intervention such as Credit, NRM and PITD etc.
