Graphic Designer

Print Graphic Designer will work as a member of the design staff in addition to graphic design, print and electronic marketing projects. To fulfill this role:

Provide graphic design support for proposals, presentations and other materials from templates or unique design by defining form, features, and attraction, exploring alternative designs; revising designs
Prepare design layouts using Corel, PhotoShop, InDesign, Illusturator and/or other appropriate software. Prepares documents to meet local production specifications
Research typefaces, color palettes, photography, and the impact of primary and secondary graphic elements, as appropriate
Openly shares information and own expertise with others to enable them to accomplish group goals
Explains graphic design concepts to internal clients to build their understanding and support of graphic design
Peer review designs for visual consistency and adherence to Mercer graphics standards and style guidelines
Upon completion of a project, reviews, collects and contributes content to the intellectual capital collection
Contribute to the creation of standard graphics for consultants to use in a self-service environment
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in graphic design

Experience in crafting and presenting strategic designs that support market positioning and communications goals
Possesses advanced knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Flash, captivate, Front Page and Dreamweaver.
Comfortable working in PC platforms using Windows 7 or XP.
Demonstrate effective project and time management with a focus on customer service
Exhibits solid graphic design and layout acumen. Can balance the goal of delivering the "ultimate" product that meets clients' communications needs with the need to meet project deadlines within budget. Suggests alternate designs as appropriate.
Understands complex print production methods and ensures designs can be produced cost effectively on standard printing equipment.
Communicates effectively and works well with senior-level practitioners and colleagues.
Demonstrates technical expertise in design software and hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting with outside vendor support.
Works independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
